Directorate of Industrial Collaboration
Directorate of Industrial Collaboration undertakes the activities to meet the missions and policies in accordance with directions and guidelines of Ministry of Industry. It also cooperates with national and international organizations, implements the policies and strategies of energy efficiency and conservation, formulates the Policies and Laws to accelerate the industries, performs the industrial human resources and R&D programs for the industrial sector development.
Directorate of Industrial Collaboration is headed by Director General and two Deputy Director General and organized with 10 departments as mentioned below:
The main responsibilities of Directorate of Industrial collaboration are:
|(a)||To Negotiate with ASEAN countries, related organizations and concerned ministries for Grant / Aid and investments from UN and Intentional Organization to be developed the industrial sector.|
|(b)||To formulate the designated standards.|
|(c)||To plan and implement the scheme of energy efficiency.|
|(d)||To issue the prevention of Hazard from Chemical and Related Substances rules and notifications, collection and classification the Chemical and Related of National Chemical Profile, issuing the recommendations for the chemical that will be import, registration and licensing.|
|(e)||To reply the comments and suggestions regarding the contracts of leasing, public private partnership, joint-venture of factory, land and building and machineries under Ministry of Industry.|
|(f)||To report the data of production and selling of enterprises to Ministry of Industry.|
|(g)||To nurture the skill industrial human resources in accordance with international standard and cooperating with national and international partner and organizations .|
|(h)||To research the machine parts to be made localization for factories under Ministry of Industry and upgrading the techniques of teaching in Industrial Training Centers.|

Industrial Training Centers
Energy Efficiency and Conservation
Its energy efficiency and conservation Policy focuses on four main sectors: industrial, commercial, residential and public. Policy target are 12% energy consumption reduction by 2020, 16% by 2025 and 20% by 2030 based year 2012.
Cooperation with Japan in Chemical Mangement
Law, Rules, Notification, Classification of chemical and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) regarding with Chemical Management to upload to ASEAN-Japan Chemical safety Database (AJCSD)(www.ajcsd.org,website)
The ASEAN-Japan Chemical Safety Database (AJCSD) is developed by ASEAN countries and Japan under AMEICC Working Group on Chemical Industry which consists of representatives from ASEAN countries and JAPAN. The AJCSD is a free database and includes chemical regulatory information, GHS classification results, risk and hazard information, etc. The purpose of AJCSD is to enhance transparency and to reduce compliance risk on chemical safety among those countries.
Mobile Vocational Training unit
Mobile Vocational Training unit are offering in relevant States and Regions according to their needs and skilled demands to be socio-eco development and poverty reduction. There are 1898 youths have been trained so far by conducting mobile training.
Accreditation of National Skills Assessment Center
No. 1 Industrial Training Center (Sinde) , No. 2 Industrial Training Center (Mandalay) and No. 4 Industrial Training Center (Pakokku) are accredited as National Skill Assessment Centers (Welding) by National Skills Standards Authority(NSSA) so the graduated students are assessed as the criteria and then issue National Skill Certificate for the competence students.
Research and Development
Technical Research Department under Directorate of Industrial Collaboration performs the research for the imported machine spare parts to be localized and innovated from state own factories under Ministry of Industry. Moreover, technical assistance are given to industries in Industrial Zone and provide for upgrading the teaching techniques in Industrial Training Centers.
